Forest School First Aid & Paediatric Course
Our Forest School First Aid course is an Ofqual regulated qualification designed for leaders and assistants working in a forest school setting. The course content is delivered primarily outdoors and recreates emergency scenarios to test your knowledge of responding to an incident where help is not immediately available. This course meets the requirements of OFSTED for practitioners of forest schools.
This is a course that will qualify the successful learner with both Forest Schools First Aid and Paediatric First Aid qualification for 3 years.
This qualification develops the learner’s knowledge, understanding and skills in delivering first aid in a forest school environment. This qualification meets employers and relevant bodies first aid requirements for forest school practitioners. The qualification supports a role in a workplace.
The qualification meets the Outdoor First Aid requirements set by the Institute for Outdoor Learning. The course is combined with the Paediatric First Aid qualification which meets the requirements of Ofsted Early Years and Childcare Register requirements. Our 16-hour outdoor paediatric first aid training is aimed at those working with children in an outdoor setting or who are working towards their forest school leader award and includes the Award in Paediatric First Aid.
