Our two main first aid courses for the workplace are the one-day Emergency Paediatric First Aid and the two-day Paediatric First Aid courses.

Emergency Paediatric First Aid
The Emergency Paediatric First Aid course has been designed for those who care for children and infants. The course focuses on emergency situations that may face those looking after babies and young children. This first aid qualification is aimed at individuals wishing to gain the knowledge and skills required to enable them to provide effective emergency first aid. It is intended for learners such as parents and relatives, pre-school or nursery staff, toddler group volunteers, childminders and nannies, au pairs and foster parents, or anyone who must deliver first aid as part of their role in either childcare settings or a domestic environment.
If you are required to meet the First Aid criteria of the Early years foundation stage (EYFS), you will need to acquire the Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid Qualification.
Our Emergency Paediatric First Aid course meets all criteria set out by the Health and Safety Executive and in accordance with the UK Resuscitation Council guidelines on treatment.
Paediatric First Aid
The 2-day level 3 Paediatric course focuses on emergency situations that face those looking after young children and infants. This qualification is aimed at individuals wishing to become a paediatric first aider in the workplace with a responsibility for the welfare of infants and children.
This qualification is intended for learners already working or preparing to work in the industry and it meets the requirements for paediatric first aid outlined in the Early Years Foundation Stage. This paediatric first aid course meets the Ofsted Early Years and Childcare Register requirements.

Assessments:
Both First Aid at Work qualifications are valid for 3 years and is specifically designed for individuals who wish to become the first aider in their workplace or those already appointed and needing to requalify.
Each learner is continually assessed throughout and must demonstrate competence in all the assessed skills to gain certification. Learners will also be required to pass a multiple-choice question test at the end of the course.
Certificates:
Successful learners that complete the training will receive a certificate that is valid for three years.

If you are unsure about how many first aiders, you need within your workplace more information can be found on the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 website or by contacting us.
The Emergency First Aid at Work course is a short course that must be attended for the full 6 hours of face-to-face training. We are, however, able to offer the 3-day Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) in a ‘blended learning’ format by completing 1-day of online e-learning to leave only 2-days’ worth of face-to-face training rather than 3.
Our Emergency Level 3 First Aid at Work (EFAW) 1-day courses are accredited and regulated practical courses that meet the First Aider requirements of all workplaces with less than 50 employees. This course is fully accredited by Qualifications Network which is regulated and quality assured and therefore satisfies the HSE’s requirements for workplace first aid training in the UK.
Certain techniques, such as providing CPR, are taught using practical demonstrations in a face-to-face first aid course, so it is best to wear loose fitting clothes, trousers (not skirts or dresses) and flat shoes.
