Who Should attend our Emergency First Aid at Work courses?
The (EFAW) Emergency First Aid at Work course is recommended if you work in a “low risk” environment. More information will be found on the HSE first aid needs page.
Emergency First Aid training is the first step towards saving a life and may prove useful for any member person wanting to learn first aid. This first aid course also enables a company to comply with Health and Safety by having the appropriate number of first aiders in the workplace.
During the one day first aid course you will learn the skills and confidence to act in an emergency. Thanks to our first instructors who have the experience and knowledge you will feel more prepared if you ever find yourself in a situation that requires immediate first aid. What is Emergency First Aid at Work?
The 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work course is a 6-hour course and a great introduction to first aid training. This first aid course we offer will help you meet the requirements set out in the Health and Safety regulations of 1981. The course will also ensure that employees remain qualified for 3 years.
Assessments
Assessment is in the form of practical exercises and a straightforward multiple-choice paper, and candidates must pass both elements to qualify.
Certification
Once qualified, the certificate is valid for 3 years, at the end of which candidates will need to attend a one-day course to requalify.
