First Aid at Work (FAW) – 3 Day HSE Compliant Course

Our three‑day First Aid at Work (FAW) course is one of the most comprehensive workplace first aid qualifications available in the UK. Fully aligned with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, it provides the in‑depth knowledge and practical skills needed to manage a wide range of medical emergencies in both low‑ and high‑risk environments.

Delivered at our Newton Abbot training venue or directly at your premises anywhere in Devon and across the South West, this course builds on the 1‑Day Emergency First Aid at Work qualification and goes further. Learners cover serious injuries, medical conditions, and complex workplace scenarios, making it ideal for higher‑risk sectors such as construction, manufacturing, warehousing, hospitality, and larger office environments.

We support organisations across South Devon, Torbay, Teignbridge, the South Hams, Mid Devon, and North Devon, as well as wider South West regions including Cornwall, Dorset, Somerset, and Hampshire. It’s also an excellent option for anyone seeking a thorough, advanced understanding of first aid for professional development or personal confidence.

EFAW is a one-day course focused on essential lifesaving skills suitable for low-risk workplaces like offices and shops. FAW is a more comprehensive three-day course aimed at higher-risk environments such as construction, factories, and outdoor work, covering a wider range of injuries and illnesses.

If you’re an employer, the law requires you to provide adequate first aid provision based on your workplace risks and staff numbers. This often means having trained first aiders on site with up-to-date qualifications.

Your FAW certificate is valid for three years. After that, you’ll need to complete a two-day requalification course to stay compliant and keep your skills fresh.
