The Level 3 Full Paediatric First Aid (2-day / 12-hour course) is the recognised qualification required for staff who are included in childcare ratios and those with supervisory responsibility.

The Emergency Paediatric First Aid (1-day / 6-hour course) is suitable for support staff, assistants, volunteers, or new starters who need essential life-saving skills but do not require the full qualification.

Both qualifications are valid for three years from the date of completion.

  • Full Level 3 Paediatric First Aid – 2 Days (12 Hours) or blended learning format

Blended learning allows delegates to complete the theory elements online at their own pace before attending a practical classroom assessment session. This reduces time away from work while still achieving the full qualification.

Training is delivered from our Newton Abbot venue in Devon, with onsite group training also available across Devon, Cornwall, Dorset, Somerset, Hampshire, and the wider South West.

Training includes CPR for infants and children, choking management, allergic reactions, febrile seizures, bleeding control, burns, head injuries, unconscious casualties, anaphylaxis, and emergency response procedures for childcare environments.

The qualification is valid for 3 years. Regular refresher training is recommended to help maintain confidence and practical skills between renewals.
